:(
I would well do this, but im not in the US,
as soon as they announce a UK tour, i think they
should do this again. And think they should play
Leicester too, most bands ignore it after a couple
of tours :( x.

hey,
how's it going man?? I'm so surprised nobody else took advantage of the soundcheck. Actually I kind of preferred it that way since we got to talk to the guys afterwards. Second time I got to meet them, first being the Empty Bottle show.
It was cool Ross remembered me, eventually Gary and Ryan did too. Jesus and I were kicking ourselves in the ass afterwards because we requested songs they were gonna play later that night rather than stuff from the first album or b-sides.
The set was great but I feel like the crowd could of done a better job showing their appreciation. But I had a great time jumping around like a madman.
After the show my buddies and I hung out with Ryan and co (though the other two didn't show up) at this place called The Black Cobra. Stylish lounge bar type of place. Again, there weren't that many people. Probably because not too many people knew about it and it was a tuesday night. It was a fantastic time chatting up Ryan, downing some shots with him, etc. It was really cool. Those guys are top, empire, brilliant, hahaha insert any british slang word for cool.........

Soundcheck in Minneapolis
It was so much fun! They played for quite a while and took requests as well. They played 'We Can No Longer Cheat You' as I requested and it was amazing! They hung around for a little bit after the soundcheck and greeted the 6-7 people there. Overall I had a blast!

soundcheck details
I got the actual details about the soundcheck on Monday 3/24 and the concert was yesterday 3/25.
When I got there around 4:50, there were only 2 guys hanging out front and about 2-3 inside checking mikes, guitars, etc.
Then two other guys showed up for the soundcheck (Joe and Jesus) who watched the soundcheck with me. The Cribs did 4 songs total, all requests by Joe, since I was drawing a complete blank on song titles, except what I could remember from recent videos I had watched.
Then the band members came over to chat for a bit.
Ross was really friendly (as were they all) and it was cool to finally meet them.
We talked about Chicago, and the shows we had seen the Cribs at. For me, it was Detroit in 2006 with Death Cab and Franz Ferdinand.
Awesome time!!

How soon in advance did you find out the details for the soundcheck? I am supposed to go to the Minneapolis one tomorrow and haven't received any information.

concert & soundcheck tonite!! yeah!!
I can't wait for the soundcheck tonite. First one I've ever been to. The concert will be great I'm sure.
Saw them open for Franz Ferdinand and Death Cab for Cutie on 2006 and they rocked!
Anyone up for a beer after the soundcheck??

That's strange...
Hey there, I just saw your post and sent you an email. I don't know why your posters haven't come yet, I've sent out stuff to everybody that sent in their addresses. Check the e-mail I sent and we'll figure it out. Thanks for letting me know!

Hmmm...
Back when this all started, I emailed my mailing address. We are now a week out from my local show, and the email with the mission info just came out. So how the heck do I get a chance at watching the sound check when I can't even complete the mission in time? Kinda bummed about this....

Posters
I am still waiting for my posters. Hopefully I get them soon as the show in Minneapolis is next week.

street team mission
HEy, I went out and put up 10 posters yesterday and hope to get the word out there in the Detroit area. The Cribs opened here for Franz Ferdinand and Death Cab for Cutie in 2006, and I've been trying to get more people to listen to them.
I hope some people see the posters when they come out of clubs or drive around town.
Even had one taped to the back of my son as we walked downtown.
I did get a few stares from people on that one.
cheers and see you in Chicgao!
